Family

We live in Kharkiv, Ukraine and have being involved with the Mission Ministry for more than 10 years. During this time we took part in 5 church plants in Ukraine and gave birth to two children Mary and Yan.
Kharkiv was founded in 1654 -1655. Today it's Ukraine's second largest city with 1.6 million residents. Only 25 miles from Russian border, Kharkiv is highly Russified city. About 94 percent of the residents speak Russian while some 71 percent are fluent in Ukrainian. Although not a major tourist destination Kharkiv is worth a visit. It's pleasant, spacious and attractive. Its rich academic and cultural life earns it the nickname "the Boston of Ukraine". It has more than 20 institutes of higher learning as well as outstanding professional theatres, museums and scores of libraries.

Masha&Yan
January 8, 2011.  In Ukraine we celebrate Christmas on the 7-th. This time besides church celebration we took part in the "The Book English Club" lead by Linda Gray and Amanda Dillon, missionaries in Kharkiv. The time spent with people searching for life answers by means of studying English brought our memories more than10 years back when Natasha and I were looking for the same answers in life.
We had good time and especially because of our children. Masha and Yan were introduced to the life which we had before they were even born. They learned some good things from American culture and practiced some of their own English as well as tasted fabulously cooked traditional American Christmas cooking.
Natasha and I had a chance to share our personal testimony of finding God and walking in His presence. It was blessed Christmas gathering!
